Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year. As we start the new school year together on Monday, August 19, 2024, the staff at
Columbia Elementary School looks forward to working with you and your child. Our Columbia staff strongly believes
that the education of children is a partnership between the home and the school, and that parent involvement is crucial to 
the success of our students. Please mark September 17, 2024 for Columbia’s Back to School Night from 4:30-5:45 p.m.
where you will meet our staff and receive important information about the coming school year.
The Columbia Elementary office will extend their hours on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, for registration. The office will 
be open through 7:00 PM.

Class lists will be posted Thursday, August 15, 2024, on the cafeteria and/or office windows. These lists will indicate 
your child’s teacher and room number. No room changes will be made prior to Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Please 
note that due to the possible enrollment changes we may need to create or collapse classrooms. There is a possibility that 
your child may be moved to a different class. We will contact you if this occurs. 

Our district will be implementing an early release schedule on Tuesdays of a five-day school week for teacher

Regular School Day Daily Schedule:
TK & Kindergarten 8:00 a.m. until 1:35 p.m.
Grades 1st – 6th 8:00 a.m. until 2:35 p.m.

Early Release School Day Daily Schedule:
TK & Kindergarten 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Grades 1st – 6

Parent conferences will be held during the week of October 21 through October 25, 2024, and dismissal will be 65
minutes prior to our regular dismissal. We will follow our early release schedule.  

Breakfast is served from 7:30-7:50 am and our after school program is available daily until 6:00 p.m. Continue to check

de la Escuela Primaria Columbia espera trabajar con usted y su hijo/a. Nuestro personal de Columbia cree firmemente que 
la educación de los niños es una asociación entre el hogar y la escuela y que la participación de los padres es crucial para 
el éxito de nuestros estudiantes. Por favor marque September 17, 2024 para Columbia’s Noche de Regreso a Clases de
